/Position Overview:

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the above-mentioned locations.

Export Control:
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Position Summary:
Primary accountability for total sales revenue, profitability, market growth, customer requirement prioritization, and relationship management for assigned program.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage, develop and retain talent within reporting structure.
  • Identify opportunities for new product & services for assigned customer.
  • Responsible for revenue, profitability and performance of assigned program.
  • Help to obtain and keep BDSI leadership informed of customer strategies, growth plans, and any competitive intelligence.
  • Maintain and create a professional yet personalized relationship with assigned customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal leaders regarding customer specific strategy, execution and customer relationship management.
  • Take ownership of all contract proposals to ensure submissions are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the identification and execution of strategies that achieve short and long-term business growth objectives.
  • Accountable for continuous improvement in customer program management tools and processes.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
  • 6-8 years of related work experience
  • Proficiency in numeric reasoning and mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of the aerospace/aviation industry
  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in aerospace hardware sales
  • Proficient knowledge in all MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) applications
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in lieu of education

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Business Administration or Engineering or Related Field of Study (Master’s Degree preferred)
  • Previous experience in the aerospace industry/fasteners, preferred
