HX5 is currently seeking an Aerospace Engineer to support the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA), Future Vertical Lift (FVL) Capability Set One (CS1) at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This new program is a critical modernization priority and will develop and field the next generation of affordable attack reconnaissance aircraft for the Army. The FARA provides a dedicated armed aerial reconnaissance platform for Joint All Domain Operations (JADO). The Army needs an aircraft that can achieve decisive victory! The FARA will provide the Joint Force with increased speed, range, maneuverability, and survivability.

The position will be located at Redstone Arsenal, in Huntsville, Alabama, and may require some travel. A project contract start date will be in the Fall of 2023. We are recruiting now for this work so that we can begin upon contract award.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide input and make recommendations to develop, compile, review, and document acquisition schedules, acquisition strategies, system studies, and program baseline documents to support Milestone/budgetary decisions.
• Develop and assist in developing Safety and Human Factors engineering documents.
• Provide support for program reviews, design reviews, technical interchange meetings, Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, and user conferences.
• Provide technical support for rotorcraft engines and engine installations, drive and rotor systems, and other propulsion systems.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and up to 3 years of experience

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Travel:

• This position may require up to 5% travel. This may include air travel.

Other Position Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance for the position.
