Job Description
The Role


The role of the Customer Experience Trainer functions as, and partners with subject matter experts to develop engaging content for MaryRuth’s Customer Experience department. Content will primarily focus on the onboarding and ongoing training of the Customer Care team. A secondary focus will be external educational initiatives (such as presentations and activities), and internal reference materials (including infographics, process documents, and LMS media) based on business needs and audience analysis. This is a full-time (40h/week), fully remote, salary-exempt position.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain course materials, learning solutions, and evergreen reference materials
  • Evaluate, analyze, and report on learner experience and knowledge retention
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
  • Ensure that all educational materials are compliant according to internal compliance and regulatory standards set by the Quality Assurance and Compliance departments
  • Develop exercises, tutorials, assessments, and other methods of learning materials
  • Some travel (<5%) may be required on an as-needed basis, with advance notice provided to the employee
  • Research, write, edit, and create content
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience leadership to define course requirements and learning objectives
  • Conduct educational and training sessions, focusing on educational content and quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay up to date on new techniques in corporate teaching
  • Create instructional, engaging content to enhance trainee/participant’s learning and knowledge retention of various topics
Qualifications
  • Comfortable working collaboratively, cross-functionally, and independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to analyze and develop solutions to meet customer needs
  • General understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Curious and creative while balancing regulatory requirements
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Technically proficient, and willing to learn and adapt to new systems
  • 2+ years of virtual Customer Service experience preferred
  • Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting industry-related materials
  • Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and Customer Care specific platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
Physical Requirements
Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. This role involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
