Customer Engagement Business Intelligence Graduate Intern, Summer/Fall 2023

The Customer Engagement Platform (CEP) team achieves powerful customer experiences across marketing touchpoints by using data and tools to bring marketing to life. You will become a team member of the Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) team within the Customer Engagement organization.

A day in the life…
Members of this team are inspired by a passion for data, analytics, and storytelling. One will use a mix of technologies to develop visual solutions that provide insights on consumers and marketing activities. This role also acts as consultant within the organization to understand business opportunities and to communicate consumer insights. This opportunity will allow you to grow as a data-driven storyteller while enhancing our ability to better understand our consumers. As part of this team, you will:

• Develop extract-transform-load (ETL) data pipelines for BI products.
• Present products and insights to partners.
• Build BI products such as dashboards, presentations, and infographics.
• Write technical documentation for BI products and data pipelines.

What we are looking for…

Basic Qualifications:

• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Experience using SQL, Python, R or SAS and a strong desire to quickly strengthen and apply those skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Creative problem solving & analytical skills.
• A solution-oriented mindset.
• Understanding of data visualization and presentation principles.
• Interest in pursuing an analytical career path.
• Experience wrangling data from databases and creating BI solutions that effectively communicate compelling stories through data visualizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Passion for The Walt Disney Company brand.
• Familiarity with marketing concepts.
• Experience programming in SQL, Python or R for data manipulation and extraction purposes.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms.

Required Education:

• To be eligible for this internship you must be a graduate level student, or a recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, or another relevant field.

Additional Information:

• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.
• Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
• Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
• Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
• Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2023-January 2024.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
