Internship, Universal Creative - Graphic Design, Global Restaurant Development (Fall 2023)

Fall 2023 Semester:

JOB SUMMARY: Intern will support the restaurant design team by assisting with general graphic design. Intern will work with and learn from some of Universals’ top designers. Interns will learn how to develop, refine, and deliver a complete brand.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports the restaurant design team by assisting with general graphic design
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Works on developing and refining brands and layouts for printed materials and digital presentations
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
• Helps the Graphic Design Manager to produce appropriate messaging for new and existing restaurants.

EDUCATION:

• Preferred majors include: Graphic Design, Architecture, Art, or Industrial Design
• An official transcript may be required upon request.
• Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred.
• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophmore or above.
• Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.

EXPERIENCE: Prior internship experience related to position is preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:

• Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• InDesign and Illustrator knowledge is preferred
• Superior written & verbal communication skills.
• Consistent attendance.
• Proficiency in Photoshop is required
• Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
• Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2023.
