Apollo League has been exclusively appointed to assistLookatmedia.co, a fast growing marketing software-as-a-service business located in Australia, assemble a leading team of part time and non executive specialists to assist them in taking their business global.

Our client has developed a class leading newsroom management software solution that allows companies and journalists to access digital assets via the cloud.

The media is increasingly dependent on illustrated content to capture and hold the attention of readers and viewers. Is the first newsroom solution that delivers illustrated stories, images and videos in ways that meet the needs of the 24/7 news cycle.

A new product suite is being developed that uses AI to generate and deliver content written in the style of individual journalists for PR agencies and corporate customers and then deliver the content, including quotes and images to individual journalists likely to be interested in the story - at scale. This would be a world first and could change the face of marketing, PR and journalism forever.

The successful candidate will be a senior, successful and well connected individual from the PR, media and marketing industry with a passion for innovation. They will also relish the challenge of assisting a tech company launch in a new geography. Their role will involve representing the company in the North American market and dealing directly with key stakeholders, which will involve the major media companies, large PR firms and listed companies as well as large private entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive new business growth.

• Use your day-to-day understanding of PR and the media to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the PR and media industries.

• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly the impact of AI in the sector.

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, sales presentations, and other materials to support new business development efforts.

• Attend industry events and conferences to expand your network and stay current on market trends.

• Provide regular reports on sales activities and performance to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Tertiary degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.

• Proven experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the PR or media industries.

• Strong understanding of PR and the media and how emerging technologies impact the sector.

• Experience working with startups and knowledge of the US business ecosystem, particularly in Silicon Valley.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.

• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• 10+ years as a senior executive in the media and/PR industry
