Job Description

Compensation: $29.80 - $39.90/hour

The exact compensation may vary based upon skills, experience & location



SEMI is seeking a Coordinator, Sustainability Programs for our sustainability group (Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability). This position is responsible for managing EHS and ESG projects. EHSS is a very fast-paced, multi-directional group, focused on making a positive impact on our member’s response to carbon emission requirements, new regulatory efforts, and positive activities to accelerate our industry’s response to changes coming at them.


This a temporary, part-time non-exempt position working 10 hours per week reporting directly to the Vice President of SEMI Sustainability and is based in Milpitas, CA.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:


Coordinate and manage activities across multiple working groups within EHSS to drive initiatives:

  • Monitor engagement statistics.
  • Communicate status and updates internally and externally.
  • Organize meetings and events with communications to stakeholders through multiple channels and across venues, e.g., conferences, workgroups, workshops, webinars


Assist with administering membership, including sending agreements, responding to and coordinating responses to member company legal queries, membership dues, and anything else they might need to make a positive membership decision.

  • Enter new members into SEMI systems (NetSuite, SFDC and Higher Logic)
  • Own metrics on member retention. Support logistics support for members.


Facilitate communication between stakeholders including, but not limited to, SEMI members, EHSS Technical and Business leaders, marketing, communications, R&D, Standards, event managers, Governing Council, etc.

  • Present updates to the various stakeholders, members and staff displaying comfort and credibility in front of groups


Develop relationships with SEMI functional and regional staff to drive necessary contributions to projects

  • Facilitate team projects to completion
  • Develop project plans to track progress and provide reports to the various stakeholders through dashboards
  • Coordinate teams across multiple regional boundaries (Asia, Europe, N. America)
  • Ensure team deliverables are published and accessible into larger SEMI framework.


Perform website updates to keep website current.

  • Expected travel less than 10%
  • Refresh and do housekeeping of the website.

FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Semiconductor, Global electronics industry experience is desired
  • Strong English communication skills (both speaking and writing)
  • Tech-savvy. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • 1-3 years’ experience in program/project management, PMP certification preferred
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent industry experience required

Preferred but not required:

  • Bilingual skills
  • Website management and updating skills
  • Technical background
  • CRM experience
