The SkyGrid team is looking for a Contracts and Procurement Manager to lead the negotiation, documentation, and analysis of a broad range of contracts and vendor agreements. This person will work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer. Externally, this includes the sale and support of next generation aerospace products, SaaS, licensing, and services agreements. Internally you’ll support procurement, information technology, safety engineering, product, and finance.

Performance Objectives:

• Familiarize yourself with operating agreement
• Organize and manage legal folder
• Oversee procurement, contracts, and NDA management
• Develop process and procedures
• Develop and manage contracts renewal calendar
• Take the lead on existing vendor relationships

Responsibilities:

• Assist in scaling the company by working with the legal department to develop, implement, and continuously refine processes and procedures to assess vendor onboarding
• Facilitate contracts for research, development, production, and sustainment efforts
• Produce appropriate leads, and participate in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies
• Resolve complex contract and customer issues during all phases of the contract
• Build the presentation and development of complex business solutions to preserve and expand the business
• Evaluation of relevant business risks associated with contract execution
• Lead contract negotiations, settlements, and assessment of terms and conditions for Federal Acquisitions Regulations/ Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulative Supplement (FAR/DFAR) regulations
• Authentically represent SkyGrid to external customers, including government, industry partners, and global customers
• Summarize complex contractual issues, and lead development of creative solutions and the coordination of contractual risk mitigation
• Maintain procurement life cycle documentation and contracts documents
• Conduct training related to contracts management process, procedure, while supporting the compliance section with procurement and contracts related work.
• Liaison with export control counsel, IP counsel control and all other outside counsel
• Manage outside counsel's review of specialized agreements and act as internal liaison with key stakeholders

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience drafting and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
• 5+ years of experience leading or managing proposal development and negotiating government contracts
• Comfort with ambiguity in project work in a fast-paced start-up environment
• 5+ years of experience with negotiating commercial, FAR/DFARS or legal terms
• Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Aviation industry experience
• Masters Degree
