We're looking for a skilled and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our semiconductor manufacturing plant in Allen, TX. As part of our team, you'll be responsible for managing the procurement process, from vendor selection/setup through price negotiation, purchase order creation, order tracking, days of stock management and vendor management.


This role requires the ability to manage relationships externally (i.e., vendors, 3PL, etc.) and internally (i.e., engineering, production, maintenance, and HQ counterparts, etc.) ensuring continuous secure supply of high-quality materials and components needed for our plant's operations.


Responsibilities


  • Order Tracking: Monitor and manage open purchase orders, proactively communicating with suppliers to ensure on-time receipt of goods.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards throughout the procurement process.
  • Procurement Operations: Execute end-to-end procurement functions, assisting with sourcing, processing purchase orders, and maintaining supplier communication to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
  • Supplier Management: Aid in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers while cultivating strong relationships with existing supply base. Provide support in contract negotiations and supplier evaluations.
  • Data Analysis: Assist in data analysis to support informed procurement decisions, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enhance overall procurement efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to assess inventory needs, maintain optimal stock levels, and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Process Enhancement: Contribute to process optimization efforts, fostering strong internal engagement with stakeholders to understand business requirements and collaborating with Strategic Sourcing Manager to define and implement plans and processes for sourcing goods and services.


Skills & Qualifications


  • Recent graduate with Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or at least 2 years of related field experience
  • Experience with global manufacturing companies a plus.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for managing data and generating reports.
  • Understanding of procurement and sourcing functions, including: RFQ; PO Management; supply/demand planning; and vendor selection & management.
