Job Description

POSITION TITLE

Procurement Specialist


JOB SUMMARY

As the Procurement Specialist at Curative, you will streamline procurement processes, manage vendor relationships, and centralize tasks to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

  • Enhances efficiency and accuracy
  • Relieve business managers of the burdensome task of individually navigating the accounting and legal intricacies- effectively freeing up managers to concentrate on their core responsibilities and strategic business initiatives
  • Orchestrates a seamless convergence of business managers and the accounting and legal departments in relation to procurement processes
  • Centralizes procurement tasks ensuring a single point of contact will be knowledgeable of the processes
  • Streamlines contract, PO, invoice, and reimbursement processes


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in resolving contract disputes and discrepancies, fostering positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor offerings, conduct contract reviews to ensure compliance, and negotiate terms to ensure favorable agreements.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with company policy and national and industry legalities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements for contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and reimbursements.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts, procurement activities, and supplier/vendor interactions.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper classification and allocation of procurement-related expenses.
  • Process purchase orders, reimbursements, and invoices in accordance with company policy following established processes.
  • Initiate and oversee the creation of purchase orders, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and internal approval protocols.
  • Monitor procurement processes; track key milestones, and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in contract management and/or software and tools
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management - CPSM) are a strong plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and effectively communicate skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in contract review.
  • Proven experience in procurement, accounting, vendor management or a related financial role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills to identify and address discrepancies.
  • Experience in Airbase- AP software tool- is a strong plus
