The Process Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing effective and efficient manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality products are produced. They will work closely with the production team, research and development team, and other stakeholders to develop and optimize production processes, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, develop and execute improvement projects, and monitor and report on the effectiveness of the changes.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process optimization and improvement.
- Train production teams on new and updated processes and procedures to ensure successful implementation and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products, ensuring that they are efficient, effective, and meet quality standards.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential quality issues.
- Conduct tests and experiments to evaluate new equipment and technologies and assess their potential impact on production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Research and Development, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance, to ensure that manufacturing processes meet product specifications and comply with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards, such as ISO and FDA, is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
