Senior Specialist, Continuous Improvement

We are seeking a candidate passionate about teaching teams ways to look at their processes with a creative eye, focused on making them better. This position is fully remote and responsible for helping to guide in-plant deployment of new routines in digitally enabled lean manufacturing, train plant teams in proper development and execution and enable plant leaders to continue the transformation with the remainder of line teams in their plant. This position will require 50-75% travel.

Program deployment

• Personal growth through completion of a certification course within the first 18 months in the role and achievement of a Bronze level certificate through AME/SME/Shingo Prize.
• Coach site teams through deployment of Management Operating Structure routines
• Plan and schedule update meetings with senior management to review pain points and develop solutions
• Lead program reporting activities (KPI tracking, goal setting, impact valuation)
• Teach teams lean techniques utilizing new tools and routines, facilitating the team’s growth to independent execution and sustainable growth as the way of conducting routines within each plant
• Partner in development of Management Operating Structure and coordination of integration for plant teams
• Oversee centralized training program
• Daily direction setting, centerline management, rapid changeover, problem solving tools, clean-inspect-lubricate, defect handling, maintenance planning and scheduling
• Initiate meeting cadence and integrate reports into weekly steering meeting

Qualifications

• Knowledge / expertise of area processes and systems
• Proven data and analytics skills
• Manufacturing leadership experience (1+ years supervisory level)
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well and communicate with other
• Bring strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Experience leading and coaching teams
• Demonstrates good analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to drive insights
• Must be willing to travel to sites weekly Monday-Thursday
• Strong leadership and program management
