Responsibilities


We are searching for a data driven Continuous Improvement Director to support our Foodservice business unit. Through data analysis, you will identify continuous improvement opportunities for over 20 manufacturing plants. You will partner with leaders across Operations, Finance, and Engineering to define, budget and execute top projects across the business. You will be a key leader in driving initiatives which lead to sustainable process improvements, optimize the quality of our products, resulting in overall business savings.


Essential Job Functions


  • Develop plans, schedules, and budgets for projects to improve existing processes and to support the Pactiv Evergreen Production System (PEPS).
  • Identify, prioritize and execute continuous improvement activities through standardization and consistency.
  • Plant processes could include: paper and/or plastics manufacturing machinery, injection molding, thermoforming, plastic extrusion, foam extrusion, cup forming, flexographic printing, coating and converting, wide web & roll-to-roll equipment
  • Bridge the gap between technical and operational teams, executing a range of CI solutions that move operations beyond current state to the next level of efficiency.
  • Partner with the Foodservice Manufacturing Finance directors to understand significant variances in manufacturing costs across the various locations, and develop improvement activities to drive improved conversion cost.
  • Supports lean improvement process with techniques such as Kaizen.
  • Has knowledge in the areas of: 5S, SMED, TPM, VSM, PDCA or equivalent, A3 Problem Solving.
  • Identify cost savings through research or product requirements, manufacturing methods and equipment modifications.
  • Ensure adherence to Lean Methodology, including Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Daily Management, Layered Audit Process and Business Plan development to eliminate waste.

  • Partner with various Centers of Excellence to execute critical business programs across the Foodservice business unit.
  • Identify and drive business improvement projects utilizing data from our internal business systems (Tableau, PiVision, Insight, Gainseeker, and SAP)
  • Mentor lean practitioners and CI leaders across the Foodservice business unit.
  • Identify and manage resources, internal and external, that are needed to execute the targeted skills development.
  • Improve manufacturing organization by analyzing workflow, space requirements and equipment layout with the goal of cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.


Qualifications


Education:


Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field


Experience


10+ years of plant experience in technical or management roles with emphasis in continuous improvement

  • Strong organizational skills to include: Tracking, coordination across multiple programs, effective reporting of status and results to both Plant management and senior management.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in SAP/Other ERPs and Microsoft Office (Excel) required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of statistical methods and process improvement techniques.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus
  • Proven ability to analyze data from multiple sources to define and execute plans across an organization.
  • Proven ability to distill actionable project plans and bring together key stakeholders to drive initiatives forward is paramount.
  • Safety - Demonstrates a safety first mindset in all situations.
  • Experience working across multiple locations at one time
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal), team building and demonstrated leadership skills with all levels in the organization.
  • Proven ability to facilitate change.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical/financial modeling and problem-solving skills, with an ability to simplify the complex and to identify and focus on what matters most.

The compensation rang is specific to theand takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $161,800-$269,600.
