We're seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our team! This role will provide support the UPH Compliance Program with data analytics, database management, auditing, and investigations.
This position is open to remote/work from home with strong preference for candidates residing within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
Data Analytics
- Assist in completing special focused audits and analytic requests designated by management.
- Aid in researching and answering questions related to subject matter being audited.
- Acts as a subject matter expert to educate and counsel management team and others on data interpretation and feedback. Guidance from the Compliance Analyst is given particular weight and importance.
- Coordinates data collection from multiple sources and systems to audit and monitor compliance with a wide variety of state and federal regulations and applicable policies.
- Act as a resource in statistical application and capture of data that is valid, reliable, and quantifiable.
- Appropriately utilize random sampling and data collection methodologies.
- Develop and organize special outcome studies, analyze the findings, and report the results.
- Audit and analyze data from the organization’s electronic health record and billing system when appropriate.
- Performs data analysis, summaries, tracking and trending reports for communication with staff, leadership, committees and others.
- At direction of manager support the Compliance Program in developing and reporting compliance metrics for system-wide benefit.
Compliance Administration
- Develops training materials and publications to educate organization stakeholders.
- Monitors corrective action plans to ensure resolution is working as intended.
- Assists in privacy and compliance investigations when requested.
- Intake and triage compliance reported concerns and facilitates hand off to compliance leader(s).
- Investigates and resolves matters of significance, including coordinating and conducting assessment of internal controls to ensure compliance requirements are met.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields
Experience:
- Two years healthcare compliance or privacy experience.
- Two years of experience in compliance, auditing, monitoring, data collection, analysis, trending and reporting
- Preferred:
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Proficient use of software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
