Maxar is seeking a Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst to support the continuous journey of NIST/CMMC compliance working with our internal teams to address cybersecurity requirements. We have a tightly integrated and passionate team that works together to serve our customers. This position can be performed remotely.
Your Opportunity: The Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst will join a well-rounded, creative, and inspired Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance team (part of the office of the CISO) to support a variety of exciting business initiatives that span both the commercial and US Government business. In this role, you will be part of a team tracking and providing guidance on cybersecurity best practices as they relate to NIST/CMMC compliance and will be acting as an advocate for Cybersecurity policies and standards to directly contribute to Maxar’s amazing mission.

What you’ll do day-to-day (as a part of a best-in-class team):
  • Work collaboratively with Program and IT teams to provide guidance and oversight in maintaining NIST 800-171/CMMC compliance including: control implementation and documentation, risk and maturity assessments of current Cybersecurity controls, risk and gap remediation planning and System Security Plan development.
  • Assist with answering client security questionnaires and evaluating compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of Cybersecurity documents (policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures).
  • Contribute to the Cybersecurity education program.
  • Perform risk assessments and advise on treatment options based on program and contractual compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
  • In depth knowledge of Cybersecurity, regulatory governance, and IT security practices.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining Cybersecurity guidelines, policies, and standards.
  • Must have experience working for a U.S. government prime contractor or subcontractor
  • Awareness and experience readying for CMMC.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have experience with DFARs 252.204-7012 as well as 7019, 7020 and 7021 clauses
  • Experience performing Security Control Assessments in compliance with NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A, and/or other NIST 800 guide series.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively present material to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with effective policy, instruction, and procedure taxonomy and development for Federal or DoD Information Security Programs.
  • Requires a minimum of 3-5+ years of progressive Cybersecurity and Compliance experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Information Technology/Security, Computer Science/Engineering preferred); Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Strong ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
  • Experience with third-party risk and M&A Cybersecurity assessments.
  • Prefer certification related to Cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM).
  • Knowledge of networks, operating systems, applications, and cloud services.
  • Experience analyzing business or technical problems and proposing and implementing solutions.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and various compliance requirements; including: ISO27001, SOC2, NIST, CMMC. Knowledge of OWASP/SAMM is a plus.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$84,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually.
