Role Objective:
The Community & Studio Lead is integral to the elevating the guest and studio experience at Alo Yoga. They will ensure we deliver our targets for community engagement through curated events based on Guest interests, introducing Guests to each other through business partnerships, and creating a welcoming environment for members and their guests.
Community Leader
- Continue to build the client relationship & loyalty daily with our customers
- Lead an exceptional guest experience on the floor through assessing the level of guest connection and technical product education and supporting team members to address gaps through feedback and coaching
- Distribute all necessary info to promote community events in partnership with marketing and leadership team.
- Provides feedback on community partnerships and evaluates events based on attendance, satisfaction and impact.
- Leads Community, ensuring engagement with guests and provide a friendly and easy to shop environment
- Set up and host Community events to help create a community within your location and execute “Value-Driving” events in partnership with the leadership team
Business Leader
- Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests
- Partner with Sales & Service Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, classes, studio schedules, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure maintained and maximized
- Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies
People Leader
- Partner with management to provide coaching, guidance and direction to Associates; responsible for recruitment and development of talent
- Educates guests and staff on our product, community and culture
- Use company performance tools to evaluate each Operations Associate and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader
- Lead an exceptional guest experience on the floor through assessing the level of guest connection and technical product education and supporting team members to address gaps through feedback and coaching
Business Partner
- Collaborate with Sales & Service Lead to ensure cross-functional training, and Operations and Visual Leads to ensure the business is well-executed
- Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects and initiates, in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager (e.g. from the SCC)
- Effective Communication with all levels in the organization
Community Lead Qualifications:
- Aligns with and embodies Alo’s values
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision making
- Values feedback, receptive to receiving feedback and eager to provide
- 2+ Years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually, and as a team
- High energy, upbeat and enthusiastic with the ability to integrate fun and work
Community Lead Schedule:
The Community Lead is full-time and requires 32-40 hours per week fulfilling the job description as stated above. To build a balanced schedule that supports the needs of the business and our teams, we expect all full-time employees to be available for opening, closing and weekend shifts.
The Company’s Community Lead base pay ranges from $20.00 - $22.00/hour in Washington D.C. Please also note, Operation Leads are eligible to participate in the Company’s Monthly Store Incentive bonus program, which may result in bringing the total compensation to a higher range. Further, the range listed is just one component of the Company’s total rewards package for retail employees. Other rewards may include clothing allowance, employee discount, 401K, competitive medical, dental, and vision plans, commuter benefits, Talkspace, and AloMoves.
