COMMERCIAL STRATEGY INTERN

Job Status: Internship

POSITION SUMMARY

The Commercial Strategy Intern will be responsible for supporting the team with long-term projects as well as daily tasks and analyses. They will collaborate and communicate with cross-functional partners to meet the team's needs throughout the internship. The ideal applicant for this position is an individual who communicates clearly and effectively, displays a strong work ethic, and has a drive to learn.

• Duration: 10-week paid internship (M-F, 9-6 PM)
• Pay Rate: $17/hour
• Dates: June 5th to August 11th for all interns

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare weekly new door request form by collecting relevant information from our sales teams.
• Prepare US Department Stores quarterly sell-out report.
• Collect, report and analyze the sell-out of top optical accounts monthly.
• Manage distribution databases and mapping for all channels at the door level (add new doors, update door codes, check store addresses, add segmentation).
• Track order taking by release and analyze performance by segment: Men/Women Vista/Sun.
• Monitor and analyze competition (distribution, new product launches, top selling product).

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

Are you a proactive organizer, negotiator, and problem-solver? This role involves working with a cross-functional team both junior & senior partners and complex situations. A calm and measured demeanor and positive outlook are critical to success.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of luxury, fashion, retail specialty or wholesale environment preferred
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work autonomously
• BA or BS from an accredited university in progress (Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or relevant field)
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
