Join our team at the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology as a Clinical Research Scheduler and play a vital role in scheduling and coordinating clinical research procedures at our Westwood and Santa Monica sites. As a Clinical Research Scheduler, your primary responsibility will be scheduling diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for clinical research participants across multiple modalities. You will ensure efficient coordination of appointments and procedures while adhering to research protocols and guidelines. Your duties will include verifying insurance benefits for procedures unrelated to research funds, obtaining necessary authorizations, and informing research patients about their financial responsibilities for non-study related standard of care procedures. Additionally, you will work closely with the research team to coordinate interdepartmental services, such as transport, anesthesia, EEG, and other specialized needs. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to special projects and serve as a liaison for the clinical research medical director. Your dedication to patient advocacy and your ability to address personnel problems and resolve complaints or issues will be crucial to ensuring a positive research experience for participants. Target hourly rate: $26.99-$38.66
Required: * Skill in communicating and interacting with faculty, staff, and personnel from various campus departments and outside campus to gather and/or convey information; * Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, and under stress of frequent interruptions and/or distractions; * Ability to set priorities to complete work in a timely manner, and adapting to frequent changes in fluctuating workload; Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction; * Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, practices or procedures to define the problem, identify relevant concerns or factors, identify patterns, tendencies and relationships and formulate logical and object conclusions; * Ability to identify potentially more effective methods or working operations; Writing skills to compose grammatically correct routine business correspondence. * Ability to edit for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation; * Ability to organize and maintain accurate, up-to-date records and files; * Skill in accurately copying and posting data; * Skill in compiling and collating data from various sources. * Ability to schedule research studies; Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Working knowledge of University administrative policies and procedures.
