Clinical Lead, K-12 Schools

As the Clinical Lead of K-12 Schools you will lead the clinical implementation of Talkspace's mental health programs within the education sector, overseeing and ensuring their successful integration. You will provide strategic direction and guidance in the development and execution of Talkspace's mental health programs within K-12 schools, and you will collaborate with stakeholders, including school administrators, teachers, and mental health professionals, to facilitate a seamless integration of Talkspace's services into the school system.

Talkspace’s office is based in NYC, and this role will require 2-3 days of in-person work in the area.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, collecting feedback from stakeholders, and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with therapists, quality management, medical direction, and other relevant parties to ensure proper documentation and effective response to adverse incidents and complaints in a school setting.
• Lead a team responsible for supporting the implementation process, providing clinical guidance, and ensuring the team's success.
• With the Sr. Director of K-12 Schools, develop and deliver comprehensive training programs and resources to support the effective utilization of Talkspace.
• Stay updated on relevant policies, regulations, and best practices related to risk management in school settings, and ensure compliance with these standards.
• Collaborate with school districts and educational stakeholders to design and execute implementation strategies for Talkspace's mental health programs in K-12 schools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication, coordination, and alignment of efforts between Talkspace and the education sector.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including school administrators, teachers, parents, and mental health professionals, to facilitate program adoption and ongoing engagement.
• Oversee the providers working with student populations, coordinating with relevant stakeholders (e.g., People Operations, Legal, Medical Records) to support service delivery.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management initiatives, making necessary adjustments and improvements as required and directly managing escalated cases.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on youth behavioral health, providing direct clinical guidance and technical assistance to schools on mental health practices, programming, and policies.
• Provide training and educational resources to therapists and staff members to enhance their understanding of risk management principles and practices.
• Maintain a small caseload on the Talkspace platform

About You

• 4+ years of clinical experience
• Finds motivation in a dynamic, fluid, fast-paced, and demanding work atmosphere
• Current NY licensure: LCAT, LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, LMHC, Psychologist, MD, or NP
• Strong knowledge of youth behavioral health practices, programming, and policies

Bonus Points

• Proven expertise in working with large educational systems, with a focus on youth behavioral health.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, including school administrators and educators.

Compensation

At Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively.

The base salary range for this role is between $75,000 and $110,000. Within the salary bands, leveling corresponds to each candidate’s relevant experience, skills as assessed during the interview process, education, and applicable certifications.
