In your role as the CTO, you will be the primary technology executive in the company. Your responsibility will extend from setting up the company's technical vision, implementing technology strategies, and ensuring that the technological resources are aligned with the company's business needs. You will be the architect of all software and AI technologies, ensuring that our technical operations support our mission of creating a transparent and ethical shopping platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends, ensuring our technology and software solutions remain innovative and sustainable.
• Guide internal teams with technical standards, assist in solving complex problems, and work on the continuous improvement of our processes.
• Establish the company’s technical vision and lead all aspects of the company’s technological development.
• Oversee the Engineering operations, ensuring the alignment of departmental operations with the business objectives.
• Monitor management of all hardware, software, databases, and licenses, maintenance of security and privacy protocols, and preservation of assets.
• Direct the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth in coordination with the executive team.
• Oversee the technology budgeting and financial planning, including cost management and value optimization of technological investments.
• Conduct research to improve the technological assets of the company and make strategic decisions on technological investments.
• Architect, engineer, and oversee the development of all software and AI technologies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in architecting, implementing, and scaling large-scale software and AI systems.
• Ability to drive innovation and stay updated with the latest technology trends.
• Experience with managing and leading engineering operations.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a senior technology role, preferably in an e-commerce or digital business environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and databases.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Proficient in technological analysis and making improvements to existing systems.
• Experience with technology budgeting and financial planning.

Preferred:

• Experience with sustainable technology practices.
• Familiarity with ethical and transparent business practices in technology.
• Experience in creating accessible technology solutions.
