Who we are looking for:

Re:Car is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Chief Information and Digital Officer to join our growing team. This position must be able to provide the leadership and vision to help shape the strategy around the development and deployment of the corporate information and digital technology and systems in support of the business plan. It reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The role offers a balance of significant operational responsibility and strategic opportunity to help drive technology throughout our organization including external-facing solutions for commercial and product related applications.

What you get to do:

• Collaborate with teams across the business to generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, customer experiences, marketing channels, and business models
• Collaborate with the Leadership Team to develop and execute the Company’s overall Business Plan and align our technology and digital strategy with the company’s goals.
• Defines and executes a clear and compelling digital technology strategy and roadmap to transform and grow the business internally and externally in alignment with the strategic objectives and sound risk management
• Oversees the selection, implementation and maintenance of the technology services, hardware, and software that support the company
• Assure business continuity by overseeing and co-creating disaster recovery, backup procedures, information security, and control structures.
• Designs, develop and deploy cyber security and network solutions and compliance strategy where necessary.
• Ensure existing and emerging risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
• Work closely with HR and Talent Acquisition to identify, develops, attract, and retain key talent with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to deliver high performance and strong results for digital capabilities across the company while also preparing for skills of the future
• Ensures IT remains fully compliant with emerging laws, rules, and regulations
• Ensure that digital initiatives are fully integrated with the strategic planning process, including leadership commitment and resource allocation
• Measure ROI for digital projects, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure that we’re investing in the appropriate tools and resources for the best outcome and customer experience
• Build the organization and infrastructure needed to achieve the information and digital technology strategic goals.
• Owns the contractual, commercial, and operational working relationships with vendors to ensure effective delivery of IT and digital solutions
• Define and ensure implementation of IT policies, procedures, knowledge base materials, training, workflow, automation and other best practices throughout the company.
• Champion a digital mindset through collaboration with Engineering, Commercial, Marketing and Product Design organization and leading the architecture, design and delivery of product and commercial related technology platforms and solutions

What you bring to the team:

• An innovative and disruptive mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment with fast-paced deadlines and frequent iterations.
• Ability to travel up to 25-50%
• 15+ years of experience successfully delivering information systems and digital technology, with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer or software engineering, information systems or a related field. MBA or other advanced level degree preferred.
• Outstanding leadership skills, with experience building and leading high performing teams.
• Proven experience executing digital transformation strategy
• Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize technical information and articulate solutions, strategies effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Possess portfolio management skills for information technology hardware platforms, enterprise software applications and data architecture, telecommunications/networks, outsourced/cloud solutions, commercial application solutions, cybersecurity, and business analytics and business intelligence.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to data and technology issues.
• Excellent relationship building skills with all stakeholders and partners, both internal and external.
• Demonstrated strong work-ethic, integrity, initiative, and strong critical thinking skills
