About The Team
We are a team of skilled data professionals who brings to light people and culture insights to guide evidence-based decisions for Zillow Group. This role will report to the Senior Manager of People Analytics.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and competent individual to fill the position of Business Intelligence Analyst on Zillow Group’s People Analytics team.
The BIA will be responsible for analyzing sophisticated human resources data and creating actionable insights through reporting and data visualization. A successful candidate will work closely teams within the People Org (including HRBPs, Talent Success, People Operations, Equity & Belonging, and Talent Acquisition) as well as across the business (e.g., Finance, Core Technology, Analytics) to generate timely, accurate, and meaningful data insights that can advise decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Extract, clean, manipulate, and analyze large data sets to generate insights related to workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find opportunities to automate reporting and analytics processes and enhance data accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Design and develop HR analytics, reports, and dashboards that support organizational planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and evaluate external HR benchmarking data and trends, ensure that HR data and analytics comply with legislative and regulatory requirements, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Train internal teams on HR data reporting and analytics tools and drive adoption to ensure HR metrics are being applied in decision-making.
  • Create and maintain HR metrics, providing trend reports and analysis to HR leadership, management, and collaborators.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $93,900.00 - $150,100.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Excel, and other data analytics tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Masters preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present data insights to non-technical audiences and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret large datasets, synthesize data to create insights, and tell compelling stories with data.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a similar field.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing data management processes and strategies to improve data quality, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
