Due to a huge period of growth within BSI, we're looking for a Commercial & Business Development Manager, to join our existing team and support our clients in utilizing best-practice standards through the development of training and certification solutions within the Construction Practice.

The Supply Chain Business Development Manager will play a key role in the growth and expansion of BSI Supply Chain Solutions and Consulting Services. Responsible for nurturing client relationships to identify new opportunities as well as prospecting for brand-new business. The BDM should be familiar with a consultative selling approach to identify client pain points and needs and recommend the appropriate combination of BSI’s services. BDM will be trained on how to demonstrate BSI’s Connect SCREEN SaaS solution to clients and is expected to conduct technical demonstrations and answer questions about the solution. Ongoing account management after the sale is closed will be critical to ensure ongoing satisfaction with BSI professional services and its products and identify new opportunities. The role will be home-based - travel may be required for team meetings, client meetings, and networking opportunities.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth client / prospect needs analysis resulting in full solutions proposals.
• Assist in the delivery of product solutions to meet the needs of prospects and customers.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow the BSI organization's presence in emerging markets.
• To promote, position and sell BSI Supply Chain Solutions products and professional services to prospects and customers.
• Present and convey technical knowledge related to CTPAT and mutual recognition programs
• Actively drive and manage the solution evaluation stage of the sales process.
• Create and author technical proposals based on prospect’s supply chain security and trade compliance needs.
• To achieve sales targets by product to grow existing business and to expand into new accounts by representing the entire range of BSI products and services.
• Keep well informed on industry changes and participate where possible in organizations directly involved with the prime markets to maintain a strong industry awareness
• Identify all issues of assigned accounts to assure complete satisfaction through all stages of the sales and delivery process.

To be successful in the role, you should possess the following:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in consultative sales
• B.A. / B.S. or equivalent job experience
• Minimum 50% travel required. This includes both land (car) and air travel.
• Knowledge of SFDC is preferred
• Existing network of supply chain company contacts preferred
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of C-TPAT, PIP, AEO and SAFE framework programs is preferred.
• Understanding of supply chain threats and best practice related to security, social responsibility, and business continuity risk management
