Work Status: Hybrid

Our client, a solar panel manufacturing company, is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to lead the supply chain team, run the purchasing department, optimize supplier relationships, planning for optimal inventory positioning, on time delivery, and strategic activities to enable growth in revenue and margins.

Those strategic activities include having extensive product and market knowledge for all of the electrical, glass, and plastic categories in this market, understanding how to balance the competitive landscape, lifecycle of products, and business development.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the activities and staff involved in purchasing and inventory management for assigned products
• Develops, documents, implements and coordinates strategies for the team to balance the schedules with multiple suppliers products that we must grow profitably
• Directs, reviews, and approves all major sourcing decisions
• Manages a team including providing oversight and direction for financial and operational activities
• Utilizes ERP/MRP system and processes to optimize our inventory, turns, and return on material
• Negotiates and manages supplier packages and other key contract terms
• Provides strategic procurement guidance and develops programs, policies and ensures procurement strategy aligns with company strategy, including strategic investments to enable growth activities
• Develop Supply Plans with the team and effectively communicate with the leadership team procedures to produce efficiencies and reduce expenses through strategic sourcing

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years in the renewable energy industry
• Strong contract negotiation skills
• Experience leading a team of 10+ direct reports
• Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or other relevant field
• Minimum 4+ years procurement experience
• Minimum 8+ years supply chain experience
