Responsibilities:
The Benefits Program Manager – Health Plans will oversee management and administration of various HPE Health Plans and Programs. This position will be based in Houston, TX.
- Global Business Travel Insurance
- Global Health Plan for international assignees
- National and Regional Health Plans
- National Concierge and Navigation Service
- Support strategy review and development - understand team members’ overall health and behavior, review cost drivers, and make recommendations (program enhancements, plan design changes, etc.).
- Manage ongoing external vendor relationships, performance, meetings/calls and collaborate with external vendors to ensure proper administration of health plans.
- Work collaboratively with internal corporate partners (Legal, Finance, etc.) on ongoing issues and projects.
- Collaborate with Legal, external consultants and health plans on review and implementation of regulatory compliance policies and laws (i.e., ACA, CAA, ERISA, etc.).
- Seek opportunities for operational process improvements to enhance health plan administration and team member experience.
- Support annual enrollment process (communications review, user acceptance testing, etc.)
- Manage health plan design updates and SPD reviews/updates.
Education and Experience Required:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience managing health plan benefits.
- Experience leading RFP and vendor implementation projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or health plan program management experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong program and project management along with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proactive approach to effectively manage multiple tasks and deliver within the deadlines.
- Creative thinker and ability to use sound judgement.
- Detail oriented.
- Intermediate to Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office tools.
- Background in health plan management and employee benefit programs.
- Strong organizational skills.
