Senior Project Manager/Project Director - Midstream EPC - Houston, TX

Gryphon Oakwood are seeking a Senior Project Manager/Project Director to join an Industrial EPC contractor who are headquartered in Houston but operate globally across North America/South America/EMEA. The role is mainly working on medium/large capital construction and maintenance projects. The projects will primarily be focused on Oil & Gas pipelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, utilization, and invoicing.
• Facilitates and documents regular project team and client meetings effectively.
• Key Client Account Management & Client Relationships: Develop and optimize strategy for account growth & profitability.
• Develops good relationships with clients to foster trust and repeat business.
• Performs bid walks, proposal preparation, and presentations.
• Visible project leaders (internally and with clients).
• Embody our Company Core Values in daily activities: Safety, Team Success, Client Experience, and Continuous Improvement.
• Acts as the primary point of contact with our clients on bids and projects.
• Develops project execution strategies and plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of the project.
• Assures the project execution baseline is in place and that we are tracking and reporting against it. Raises flags when needed.
• Coaching, development, and oversight of less senior project management personnel.
• Works with clients to resolve problems and change management in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensures good scope alignment within internal teams and clients (bid and execution phases).
• Takes ownership of projects from start to finish.
• Overall responsibility for project scope, budget, change management, and schedule assurance.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5-7 years of previous experience as an EPC Project Manager
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field.
• Prefer project engineering and/or construction engineering background in industrial projects.
• Prefer past working experience in small and medium sized industrial projects.
• 10-15 years of experience in the capital projects environment (engineering and construction).
• Prefer past working experience in a multi-projects environment.
