Principal is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Benefits Administration Analyst I in our eBenefits Edge department! As a Benefits Administration Analyst, you will use your analytical, collaborative, and communication skills to provide online benefit administration support services to meet the needs of clients.
- Consult with Benefits Admin Analysts to identify and resolve root causes of issues.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
- Complete programming of data import/export processes and assist with the distribution of files to vendors. Maintain accurate documentation via work request management tools.
- Assist with quality assurance process to ensure data integrity and data validity.
- Build and maintains designated online benefit administration systems.
- Provide basic administrative support of work request system.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, carriers, system implementation leaders, other analysts, and programmers.
- Build and manage relationships, facilitate collaboration/communication, and demonstrate the ability to understand the change process.
- 1+ years of Benefits, HR, insurance carrier, application development, or related experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work with people at all levels, including outside consultants and vendors, and be able to influence others without formal authority.
- Technically adept, intermediate Excel/data analysis skills.
- Strong planning and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and big-picture/conceptual skills.
- An understanding of business processes and systems is a plus.
- Working knowledge of benefit plans and benefits administration a plus.
- Experience working with some type of Benefit Administration system.
- Expert data analysis/Excel skills preferred.
- Preferably has worked with some type of Benefit Administration system.
- Strong working knowledge of benefit plans and benefits administration a required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with 2+ years of Benefits, HR, insurance carrier, multiple applicatation development, or related experience preferred.
