Job Description

Summary
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Regional Vice President, Northeast, will oversee Balenciaga’s DOS and concession retail stores throughout the geographic area. The individual is a leader who exemplifies Balenciaga’s brand behaviors and is a role model within the business.  The Regional Vice President, Northeast, will work to inspire others, foster a culture of continuous growth and evolution, solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage the workforce to achieve maximum results. The position reports to the Vice President of Retail Excellence, Americas, and works closely with leaders to ensure a strong operational, profitable, and results-driven environment in our stores. This individual is accountable for sustaining the Balenciaga brand image, achieving sales and KPI goals, retaining and developing client relationships, and guarantees compliance with all process and guidelines set forth by HQ to bring the region to its full potential. Other areas of responsibility include ensuring operational excellence, maximum profitability and productivity as measured by the P&L, growing our talent pipeline through proactive recruitment, selection, development, networking, and strategic succession planning.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE  
BUSINESS LEADER 

  • Maximize sales results and KPIs within the network, in line with the brand's targets; defining, executing and monitoring the stores’ action plans to achieve sales targets and KPIs 
  • Participate in strategic decisions and execute all client initiatives, retail events, and client development activities to align with and support HQ and HO strategies   
  • Travel and/or communicate virtually with all assigned regional retail locations 
  • Understand and constantly monitor local business environment including market trends and competition 
  • Ensure profitability of the network in line with the brand’s strategy  
  • Analyse sales data (customers, products, footfall, etc.) and define action plans accordingly 


 
BUSINESS DEVELOPER  

  • Liaise with Finance and Leadership Team to identify potential locations (shop in shop, freestanding stores, outlets) for future expansion  
  • Responsible for P&L results for stores, monitor store profitability and manage budgets 
  • Lead and coordinate with the departments involved the new openings, the renovation and refurbishment of stores 
  • Define constantly opportunities for growth and execute actions accordingly 
  • Develop business strategies to support regional growth 


BRAND PROMOTER (CLIENTS) 

  • Develop client centric mindset and client's loyalty and retention from beginners to VICs 
  • Provide market specific feedback to Merchandising team regarding buying assortment for regional stores 
  • Behave as a Balenciaga Ambassador, sustain and promote the culture of the brand internally and externally 
  • Ensure Balenciaga signature and client experience are executed and consistent over time  

  • Partner with Marketing & Client Engagement Team to plan clienteling initiatives with specific focus on local clients (in-store events, clienteling campaigns) 
  • Identify additional top line opportunities appropriate for the geography in collaboration with Retail Director and Real-estate team 
  • Work with PR department on marketing initiatives 


PROCESS MANAGER  

  • Ensure that all the processes are compliant with legal, safety, security, sustainability, HR guidelines 

  • Audit compliance of all Store Management and Store Associates with established Company policies and standards 
  • Partner with Human Resources department to ensure that company policies and guidelines are being upheld, and that employee relation issues are reported and resolved in a timely manner 
  • Coordinate new store openings in partnership with corporate teams (i.e. Store Planning, Operations, Merchandising, etc.) 
  • Ensure that security measures are met and that physical facilities comply with safety codes and ordinances 
  • Ensure adherence to the brand image of the stores following the global visual merchandising guidelines 
  • Partner with North American Visual Merchandising Department regarding store and window presentations 
  • Ensure the perfect implementation of global retail guidelines and projects related to the back of the house, front of house and customer experience 
  • Supervise inventories in collaboration with Operations Team and HQs 
  • Audit paperwork pertaining to receiving, transfers, debits/damages, and chargebacks to headquarters to ensure accuracy of inventory 
  • Ensure that proper channels of communication exist between the stores and corporate office 


 
TALENT LEADER AND DEVELOPER 

  • Partner with/support Training initiatives to ensure associates are trained in all areas of business (management training, induction, sales, product knowledge, etc.) 
  • Provide management and guidance for Store Directors on a regular basis 
  • Recruit, engage and develop store and head office teams 
  • Consistently recruit top talent in partnership with Store Management teams along with the Head of Retail and HR 
  • Interact with Store Directors, store teams and stakeholders to establish effective and strong relationships 
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment, consistent with brand’s values  


 
WHO YOU ARE  

  • Understanding and ability to apply company policies and procedures   
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understand material, and provide instructions to all employees 
  • Understanding Omni-channel culture and approach 
  • Proven ability to effectively manage a multi-store network of luxury boutiques 
  • Expertise in developing clients and repeat business 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills 
  • Proven experience effectively delegating tasks and follow-up within store managers and team members 
  • Ability to develop and train management team, build relationships, and identify the appropriate utilization of skillsets 
  • Capable of adjusting priorities and managing time wisely in a fast-paced environment 
  • Knowledge of Human Resources directives relating to progressive discipline, investigations, and documentation 
  • Expert understanding and ability to analyze financial details of retail business 
  • Ability to be a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executive sponsors 
  • Ability to merchandise and manage store operations effectively 
  • Outstanding knowledge of customer service 
  • Ability for frequent travel 
  • At least 10 years of retail experience covering managerial positions (at head office and store/field level) 
  • Ability to handle multi-million-dollar sales volume 


 
COMPENSATION 
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, BALENCIAGA includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a195 candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled.   
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $195k - $225k
