Associate Media Director Jobs

The Associate Director acts as the day-to-day liaison between the client and digital media team, providing leadership, strategic direction and input on media plans. They will lead digital media strategy, development, analysis and execution across a portfolio of clients. Responsibilities and expectations include consistent innovation in strategy, performance measurement, and management of direct reports

• Champion social media among the client teams and agency. Willingness to train other teams to replicate success and innovations for their accounts
• Strategic and critical thinking, capable of planning towards the long term and big picture
• Own strategy and campaign execution for key client accounts, meeting or exceeding goals
• Organized with exceptional attention to detail and data recall
• Creative problem-solving and analytical excellence, regardless of the topic
• Superior communication skills for internal and client partnerships
• Expert at buying and management of media across all key social media platforms, including but not limited to Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and Reddit
• Manage a team of assistants, planners, and supervisors. A leader and mentor, must be deeply invested in their personal growth while managing workload and deadlines.

• Fluency with numbers and use of advanced Excel formulas
• Innovate team processes, streamline work, and drive workflow efficiencies
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high-quality work
• Negotiation and influence skills - steeped in required industry, brand, and competitive knowledge
• Proficient in trafficking ads across multiple platforms
• Collaborate cross-channel to uncover learnings and insights. Oversee reporting on performance (wrap-ups and weekly reporting)
• 5-8 years of social media planning and ad buying experience and 3+ years of management experience. Must have recent retail or e-commerce marketing experience.
• Up to date with marketplace and industry trends. An insatiable thirst for knowledge and willingness to stay one step ahead of the competition.
• Consistently ideate testing opportunities, tying digital performance back to real-world results
• Deep understanding of marketing and advertising principles, media concepts and terms, and creative and budget requirements. Leverages digital knowledge and experience to push innovative thinking
• Frequently write comprehensive POVs, keeping internal and external stakeholders abreast of the fast-moving social landscape
• Exceptional management skills and ability to manage deadlines across multiple managed and dotted-line reports
• Regularly identify and test new partners or innovative opportunities and media solutions
