Associate Designer Jobs

The Ines Di Santo creative development office is looking for an Associate Designer to join our New York Ines by Ines Di Santo team. Based in Toronto and internationally recognized as a leader in the world of couture bridal for the past 25 years, Ines Di Santo has expanded their product range to include an entry price point bridal line as well as lux loungewear, and companion collections of bespoke costume jewelry and hair accessories. Our ideal candidate is looking for a bridal company they can grow and nurture their creative career with while utilizing their experience and passion for creating iconic bridal moments.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining development styles in OLOtech-Web PDM system through to production stage.
• Manage and follow up on development emails with vendors and factories.
• Maintain library of fabric swatches.
• Research trends in bridal and special occasion market.
• Work with sales director to prepare line sheets and look booksfor salesteam in preparation for bridal market twice/ year.
• Assist in fabric sourcing/development, and piece goods order tracking.
• Track, Receive, and spec development samples & production duplicates upon arrival.
• Assist Creative Director in designing styles for each season.
• Assist Creative Director in fittings: comment, correct specs, proportion, fit and construction of garments and communicating comments to factory.
• Tech pack creation for development import styles, with the ability to sketch as needed.
• Follow up on customization details of production orders.
• Work on beading artwork and development for select styles.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
• Self-motivated and great with task management while sticking to a seasonal development calendar.
• Team player with the ability to creatively collaborate while working independently to reach deadlines together.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• OLOtech/ Web PDM knowledge is a plus, but will train if not yet familiar with the programs.
• College graduate.
• Must possess the ability to multitask and shift priorities as needed.
• Must be highly creative and have experience in bridal or eveningwear.
• Must be organized and have great attention to detail.
• 3+ years of design related experience.
• Strong knowledge in garment construction and fit.
