JS Group is a leading supplier of women’s apparel. JS Group is a family-owned company that owns, operates and licenses a portfolio of iconic brands including Halston, ML Monique Lhullier, THEIA, AMUR, Kay Unger, JS Collections and Et Ochs.
We are looking for an Associate Dress Designer with 2-3 years of experience to support the Design Director in the seasonal design development process (from concept to delivery) as well as handling administrative duties for Theia & Theia Bridal.

Responsibilities:
· Collaborate and contribute to seasonal design development process for 4 eveningwear and 2 bridal collections per year
· Research trends for inspiration, silhouette, color, and fabrics.
. Relevant market & competitor research
· Assemble presentation boards for meetings, putting together cads and mock-ups.
· Design according to style plans; ensure timely execution of product development calendar.
· Create and update line sheets for each season and ensure accuracy of plans and boards.
. Maintain notes and log all changes during development process
· Style, fabric, print, and embroidery development
· Create and maintain tech packs, fabric cards, and BOM in PLM system.
· Communicating with factories through detailed tech packs
· Maintaining and overseeing fabric and color standards for bulk – production reference binders
Skills and Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
· Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
· Highly detail oriented, meticulous and self-motivated.
. Strong sketching ability
. Strong understanding of the eveningwear and bridal market
. Excellent sense of color, pattern, and composition
. Draping / Mock-ups
. Able to digest and react to feedback given from Design Director, Sales, or Merch team
· Proficient in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.
· Knowledge of PLM system a plus.
. Knowledge of Procreate on Ipad a plus
· Experience in eveningwear and/or bridal design; Must be familiar with basic construction
. Experience doing beading development out of India a plus
