Your New Role…


This role focuses on facilitating the visual and graphic design which supports CNN’s product reviews and recommendations site, CNN Underscored.


As a Senior Visual Designer, you are a member of the world-class CNN Digital Team, which is responsible for creating industry-leading content engaged by millions across the globe. CNN is driven by a shared commitment to put our readers at the center of the experiences we build and to push the boundaries on what an exceptional digital experience can be. We believe that success is driven by the combined ability of content, design, product, and technology.


Your Role Accountabilities…


  • Meet deadlines and maintain a high standard for overall visual design execution and asset delivery
  • Interact with 3rd party vendors to deploy marketing creative throughout the year and leading up to major campaign events
  • Work cross-functionally with editorial, design and business development partners to gather requirements and execute on visual design campaigns and deliverables
  • Support business development team with ad placements to drive to sponsored content placements
  • Collaborate on a wide range of projects, including visual design, illustrations and iconography for marketing materials and editorial content
  • Continue to define and evolve the CNN Underscored style guide and brand
  • Conceptualize, design and deliver marketing campaigns and general visual design assets in coordination with design, editorial, product and additional cross-functional teams
  • Directly support the editorial team during live campaign events to ensure they have access to updated assets when needed
  • Support the CNN Underscored team with presentation material support when necessary


Qualifications & Experience…


  • Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent professional experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to breakdown complex problems and clearly communicate with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Exceptional graphic design and illustration abilities
  • Versed in the social media ecosystem, with a keen understanding of how to participate meaningfully and authentically
  • 5+ years experience as a brand or marketing designer
  • Able to distill complex ideas into effective visual communication deliverables across multiple formats, media and stages of production
  • Knowledgeable in graphic design history, but not constrained by it
  • Highly skilled in the formal aspects of design, including typography, composition, form, hierarchy, proportion and color

The Legal Bits…


In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $71,400.00 - $132,600.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
