About The Role

The Associate, Business Affairs will manage agreements with our licensors for our growing content and productions. As part of your role, you will review, negotiate, and draft business terms. Reporting to the Business Affairs Director, you will help handle contractual requirements, managing associated risks, and support our efforts to secure distribution rights from licensors both domestically and internationally.

About You:

• You have experience negotiating rights, analyzing risk and developing process regarding business affairs contracts and licenses.
• You have experience drafting deal terms and interpreting licensing agreements
• 3+ years of licensing and business affairs experience in an international organization in entertainment or content licensing
• Japanese language proficiency is a huge plus
• You have an enthusiasm for Anime, Japanese culture, Entertainment industry with an understanding of Japanese business culture

A day in the life of our Associate, Business Affairs:

• You will work with the Acquisitions Team and Legal Team to ensure all negotiated terms and requirements are reflected in the agreement
• You will track deal terms and update negotiation status on internal tracking systems
• You will communicate any contractual risks to internal departments including Distribution, Operations, Theatrical, Marketing, Legal, Finance and international affiliate companies
• You will negotiate and draft term sheets and content licensing agreements with domestic/international licensors
• You will provide general business counsel and support In an ever-evolving business environment

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll's Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
