As The SGA Analyst, West You Will

The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on his or her skills, experience, and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
  • Advanced expertise in issue management, advocacy, campaigns, and association management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolio, deadlines, schedule(s), and executive visits.
  • Washington State: all legislative and regulatory issues including Downstream & Renewable Fuels.
  • Draft meeting requests, letters, memos, power-point presentations and other materials.

  • Proven expertise in Western State politics and related issues and stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conduct research.
  • Oregon: all state legislative and regulatory issues plus the City of Portland, including Downstream & Renewable Fuels.
  • 3+ Years of experience in state government, issues management or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Participate and staff external events, meetings, and special projects.
  • The anticipated salary range for this position is [$112,200– $192,600].
  • Support the maintenance of bipartisan relationships with state legislative members and staff, executive branch members and staff, and other policymakers to position Chevron as a balanced and credible voice on regional issues.
  • Support advocacy on assigned California issues relevant to Chevron, including Downstream, Marketing & Retail, and Workplace Safety.
  • Lead advocacy on assigned Washington and Oregon issues relevant to Chevron.
  • Oversee and support lobbyists who serve on association and other committees with policymakers, think tanks, and-or policymakers.
  • Demonstrated research, written, verbal, analytical, interpersonal, and collaboration skills; and advanced skills in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, OneNote, Teams)
  • Work with lobbyists, business segment partners, internal experts, and-or support issue management team to support advocacy and issue management plans.
