Associate Accountant Jobs

A luxury fashion company, is seeking an Associate Accountant responsible for providing management with financial information by researching and analyzing E-commerce transactions and reporting, This responsibility includes conducting relevant business analyses, analyzing inventory productivity, managing shipping from warehouse to online clients, analyzing & reporting on costs involved. This candidate will possess strong systems and excel skills and be able to work independently on both ongoing and ad-hoc projects related to reporting and analysis. This position reports to the CEO and Controller of the company.

This part time position has potential to move into a full time position.

Responsibilities:

• Accountability for profits, expenses, assets.
• Assist senior accountant with monthly close-out
• Reconcile bank accounts and open online transactions against shipping invoices and payments
• Produce and analyze monthly financial statements, quarterly sales reports and assist with month-end close and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Run, recap & publish various weekly, monthly & E-commerce Planning reports. Continuously build upon reporting to enhance and adapt to changing needs of business. Routinely participate in the marketing meetings and develop reporting to monitor performance againstgoals.
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting on an as needed basis
• Participate in the customer settlement process (Chargebacks, allowances, etc.)
• Run bi-weekly inventory analysis. Support in managing our in-season inventory and reporting on sell-through.
• Manage and interpret exception reporting from for inventory management and reconciliation.
• Run monthly sales tax reporting per state; Analyze E-commerce sales data against state-level tax threshold requirements to ensure compliant with tax collection regulations.
• Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
• Partnering with various business functions and the broader financial and accounting teams, you will use your analytical skills to dive deep into understanding monthly performance drivers and variances to expected performance and skillfully communicate results to the CEO, Online Team, and the Accounting Department.
• Ensure site stock availability by reconciling inventory data against on-site availability
