Job Description

Henderson Harbor Group is a premier executive search and consulting firm with specialized expertise in finance, accounting and tax. The search division recruits highly skilled professionals on a direct hire and consulting basis. We service our clients primarily in the NYC area as well nationally through our AAFA network (45 financial staffing affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada).

Our client, an advisory services company located in NYC is looking to hire a Junior Accountant for a direct to hire basis. Company offers a competitive compensation package, career growth along with outstanding benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with account reconciliations from sub-ledgers to general ledger.
  • Monthly financial closings
  • Assist Senior Accountants with SEC Audit review and preparation
  • Prepare and input daily general ledger entries.


Required Skills

  • Outstanding Communication skills, both oral and written
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
  • 1 + year of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA strongly preferred
  • CPA strongly preferred
