Job Title: Junior Accountant

Designation: Non-Exempt full-time (Salary: $45,000-$60,000)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Accountant. As a Junior Accountant, you will provide essential support to the accounting department and play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and maintaining the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the senior accounting team to ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns and other statutory filings.
• Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, and bank reconciliations.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and financial reports.
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering and analyzing financial data.
• Help in the preparation of financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Assist with the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment verification, and collections.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.

Salary Range: The salary range for this entry-level position is between $45,000 – $55,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
