Beacon is partnering with Bolster as a Talent Solution Provider and we're currently seeking a talented an Assistant Procurement Manager to join the Bolster team in NYC.

Role Description


Based in New York City, you will work closely with, and receive support from, Bolster’s design, sales, pricing, procurement, accounting, and administrative teams to fulfill the following responsibilities on a growing volume of simultaneous projects:


Responsibilities


You are a key Pricing & Procurement Department team player, and you will be responsible for supporting a team of design and construction professionals and overseeing the day-to-day execution and project management of a suite of projects. The role requires being capable of informing leadership in real time about all related aspects of design and construction. This position is best suited for an ambitious designer or construction manager who has had project management experience.


  • Project Management. As part of the procurement department, you will support the Project Managers in the Build team to ensure they remain on schedule and achieve margins by reviewing projects in-depth to identify any conflicts or problems that may arise during the schedule.
  • On-Site Processes. You will support the Build team and their operations, producing product lead times, as well as tracking product delivery to site, and confirming adequate receipt of products, in addition to managing returns and replacements.
  • Relationship Management. You will coordinate the day-to-day relationship with Vendors, subcontractors, and PMs various stakeholders as it pertains to the Build phase of projects.
  • Invoice Monitoring and Management. You will review subcontractor and vendor invoices throughout the project lifecycle in collaboration with the VP Build. You will also support the monitoring/approval of payment requests and negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Finance: You will support the Finance process by managing vendor and subcontractor payment schedules, collecting invoices, and purchasing products directly, raising purchase orders as necessary.
  • Pricing processes: You will support the pricing team by requesting product pricing, reviewing and updating pricing documents, reviewing and updating contracts, purchasing products, and producing change orders.
  • Subcontractor processes: You will request subcontractor proposals and collect their compliance documentation to prepare and issue contracts.
