MANAGER OF PURCHASING AND CONTRACTING (PROCUREMENT MANAGER)

The Procurement Manager’s objective is to partner with other departments within the organization to understand the business needs and ensure the company’s strategic objectives are met. This will be accomplished by promoting a culture of compliance, ethics, and integrity; emphasizing on mitigating risks, while focusing on quality, service, and budget adequacy.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

• Responsible for the implementation and management of the Inditex procurement policy in the US subsidiary, including the use of all internal applications
• Consistently monitors suppliers utilizing Key Performance Indicators
• Proactively seek competitive bids, and provide support in various types of purchases while mitigate risk exposure defined within the procurement policy
• Support all procurement activities to ensure optimal selection of suppliers that delivers the best market value and quality for all goods and services provided.
• Periodically review and identify suppliers’ financial dependency to Inditex, that can have negative reputational impact to the brand image
• Work with areas deemed necessary to increase purchasing control, sustainability, and innovation
• Frequently coordinate meetings with departments such as: Legal, Compliance and Internal Audit to review contractual obligations
• Establish framework that provides transparency in purchasing activities, giving greater visibility and traceability within the procurement guidelines
• Regularly analyze budgets to identify buying patterns and improving cost saving opportunities

PERSONAL PROFILE

• Minimum 7 years experience in similar positions, preferably in retail industry
• Exhibit a sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability to meet deadlines
• Bachelor Degree in a business-related area
• Utilize analytical skills, and innovative approach to problem-solving
• Strong organizational, leadership, and logical decision-making skills
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe, and MRP/ERP a plus
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
• Ability to efficiently negotiate with both internal and external decision makers
• Experience within areas such as inventory planning, forecasting techniques, and budget control
• Achieve key operating objectives by foster trust and credibility with key team members

Annual compensation range: $122,000 - $202,000 + discretionary annual bonus
