Junior IT Administrator

This is a highly responsible position providing customer service to employees via technical support related to both desktop and laptop, and assisting the Authority’s IT Manager with oversight of the on-site servers. Responsibilities of this employee may also include assisting with the administration of the agency’s telephone and voicemail systems. Work requires independent judgement and confidentiality.

Primary Job Functions:

Provide support service to more than 600 JBS employees. This includes providing support to all of their devices provided by JBS (Laptops, Desktops, Monitors, Cell Phones, and Hotspots).

Assist the IT Director with operation and support of current IT systems and any other task asked by the Director.

Job Duties:

Laptop and Desktop Hardware repair

Troubleshooting Windows 10 (Pro)

Installing software

Provide support services over the phone with remote software

Understanding of domains and servers

Setting up and installing printers/fax machines

Setting up company emails using Google G-suite

Researching information on the internet

Skills Required:

Understanding of Microsoft Windows

Basic Hardware knowledge (power supply, RAM, CPU etc.)

Basic Network understanding

Basic Microsoft server knowledge

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or G.E.D

Driver’s License

Reliable Transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

CompTIA A+

CompTIA Network+

CompTIA Security+

Microsoft Certification (MCS)

2 years of IT experience or education
