Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions assists the Director of Enrollment Management and Outreach of the School of Professional Studies with admissions and recruitment. This position’s primary focus will be on recruitment, admissions, and creating a short-term and long-term strategic plan for increasing admission and recruitment at the UIW School of Professional Studies, a virtual campus program.
This position is considered a “Responsible Employee” under Title IX federal regulations and “Mandatory Reporter” under Texas state law and the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about Title IX violations. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Description of Job Duties
- Identify short and long-term recruitment strategies for the School of Profession Studies, a virtual campus program. Once approved by director, implement strategies.
- Conduct data-quality report and modify incorrect data in UIW primary system of Banner.
- Forecast the school’s revenue based on the number of students enrolled, along with their enrolled academic hours.
- Make data-driven decisions based on historical comparative analysis, admissions process management, identification of a detailed recruitment plan, application review, student enrollment, campus events and other core functions of the admissions cycle.
- Conduct a high quantity of prospect phone calls to secure appointments and interviews with the admission counselors. Submit weekly activity report of calls made, as well as follow-up activity with unresolved interviewees and future applicants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Oversee application processing operations, including implementation of processes and systems needed to support data imports and exports (including applications); ensure data accuracy in the Recruit App;
- Evaluate and assess applications to determine if applicant fits the desired profile and whether or not the applicant would have a successful and positive experience, and make recommendations as how to assist future prospects.
- Represent SPS in appropriate UIW recruitment and enrollment events and activities, to include information sessions, presentations, networking mixers, training sessions, orientation programs, etc… both on campus and off-site.
- Work to create a comprehensive plan to work with internal and external partners on recruitment activities, including virtual and in-person recruitment events as per CDC and UIW guidelines;
- Execute appropriate process improvement tools/methodologies based on identification of associated constraints within areas of review.
- Manage the student enrollment process, including creating and updating the appropriate records in UIW’s student information systems to ensure data accuracy in reporting.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Work Experience
- Three or more years of experience in admissions processing and/or student recruitment in an educational setting, preferably higher education.
- Two years of supervisory experience in a professional setting.

Work Hours
- 8am-5pm Monday – Friday with some evening and weekend work required.
- Position will require some travel to attend conferences, symposiums, and local community events.
