The primary location of this position is on the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
This position supervises our campus-based Enrollment/Assistant Directors of Admission officers. This position also: reviews the academic credentials of candidates for admission and renders admission decisions; designs and implements marketing and recruitment strategies and travels to schools and communities within the region; develops and manages a major project related to the core mission of the office; and provides counseling, information and services to prospective students, groups, families, other counselors as needed via formal presentations, counseling sessions, phone, email and other avenues of communication.
Minimum Qualifications
A relevant post-Baccalaureate degree is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience with a University Admission Office is preferred, for candidates with relevant experience that is comparable with independent instructional activities associated with the delivery and/or management of Admission Office functions and experience, Enrollment Management functions and experience, and/or Admission Office related student support functions. The duties of this position relate to Admission Office staff management and supervision and recruitment and marketing practices directly related to the University’s Strategic Plan.
