In order for the global energy system to make the transition from a carbon-based grid, to a renewable energy grid, large scale energy storage must be introduced into the electricity system to balance intra-hour supply and demand. Energy storage is the enabler of high penetration variable renewable generation like solar and wind.

Plus Power is looking to hire an intern to add to our Information Technology team. The intern will work directly for the Sr Director of Infrastructure and Controls, but will collaborate across the Asset Management team supporting data collection, analysis and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with internal stakeholders to integrate data into downstream systems
• Creating business intelligence dashboards and management reporting
• Maintaining database and optimization models
• Interpreting, analyzing trends, running statistics models.
• Collecting asset performance data from our plants

Skills & Qualifications

• SQL Server , AWS technologies, Lambda
• Junior or Senior level preferred
• Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving
• Experience with software development programming languages including;
• Ability to conduct web research and obtain technical /industry/market reports
• Current undergraduate majoring in Engineering, Math, Chemistry or related disciplines
• Python, C, C#, SQl
• Engineering, Physics, and Chemistry courses desired
• Flexible / adaptable / dynamic
• Power BI

Compensation, Location, and Benefits

Highly-competitive remuneration from one of the nation's most exciting leaders in the energy storage markets. Flexible, work from home locations acceptable for the long-term, or hybrid work from Plus Power's offices in San Francisco or Houston.

The expected salary range* for this position begins at $15-20/hr. Factors that may be used to determine the final compensation include relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic labor market, and other factors consistent with applicable law. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual discretionary bonus program.
