What you will be doing
Individuals within IT leadership roles have a responsibility for activities that contribute to planning, creating, implementing, and adhering to an IT vision and strategy aligned with the company’s strategic business plan. This role also contributes to the development of enterprise standards and technology initiatives, and the IT governance process. They manage small to large teams of people responsible for developing and delivering IT solutions for the business and customers. Professionals within this role provide technical and business leadership to their organizations as well as to the business.
Manager, IT Asset Management leads individual projects of small to medium scale and ensures day to day achievement of the KPIs in the assigned Infrastructure components’ area. They lead their teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the assigned Infrastructure component areas. They regularly interact with business, endpoint engineering, software engineering, information security, sourcing teams internally and vendor partners externally to operate the infrastructure smoothly.
Business and IT Strategy
  • Leads Endpoint planning efforts with team members, customers, and other IT groups
  • Collaborates with the Business and develops strategy for endpoint requirements
  • Works with business analysts, end user device engineers and customers (internal, external, and vendors) to understand users Endpoint Support requirements
  • Develop and manage budgets for business unit Endpoint IT spend
Governance / Policies, Processes & Standards
  • Contributes to the development of processes, policies, work instructions and standards for ITAM in accordance with industry best practices
  • Monitors the performance KPI’s
  • Owns IT inventory/asset management processes
  • Ensures adherence to policies, work instructions and standards
  • Participates in the development of training materials
  • Supports development and accuracy in asset process knowledge
  • Provide recommendations per customer feedback
Process Improvements
  • Supports the development and implementation of technologies/ processes that make it easier for endpoint support to deliver on their service commitments
  • Performs reviews to ensure that established processes are followed and makes recommendations for improvements when appropriate.
  • Seeks and recommends improvements in processes and work instructions
  • Identifies training needs for end-users and the internal training organization
  • Researches, analyzes, and recommends new assets to support the business
  • Documents and reviews solutions to common problems and responses for frequently asked questions
  • Creates and contributes to technical knowledge articles
  • Provides recommendations related to inventory control
Finance
  • Participate in review of vendor proposals
  • Collaborates with finance to develop funding requests and gain financial approval for asset budgets
  • Understands department budget and will participate in staying within budget
  • Understand Service Costing and ensure procedures are followed to stay within budget
IT Technology and Innovation
  • Makes recommendations on configuration options
  • Submits or updates configuration items within management tools
  • Participate in physical inventory counts. Perform monthly audit of physical inventory against documented assets in the Asset Database.
  • Partners with Endpoint Engineering on new model requirements
  • Recommends and tests new technologies
  • Evaluates and recommends new products for corporate standards list
  • May participate in the unit testing for new deployments or new components
  • Ensures data accuracy in the asset database
  • Provides forecasts for capital requirements
  • Manages monthly reporting to track acquisition and end-of-life for replacement providing guidelines and recommendation to eliminate waste and increase efficiency by making best use of existing IT assets
Vendor Management
  • Reviews service provider performance
  • Works with sourcing and manufacturers/vendors as needed
  • Assists with RFQ & RFI to seek vendor proposal and quotes
  • Identifies and confirms performance problems and notifies contract managers
Communications
  • Communicates organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and other communication vehicles
  • Supports an environment of open and upward communication with all staff to ensure positive employee morale, effective conflict resolution and upward flow of creative ideas for the benefit of the Company and its employees
Resource / Talent Management
  • Seeks opportunities for coaching/mentoring for team members
  • Works with management on performance management, career development, training, reward and recognition, and retention requirements within the team
  • Documents and presents performance assessments
  • Identifies training opportunities for team members
  • Administers corrective actions when warranted
  • Works with manager to establish measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with business and organizational goals
  • Meets regularly with team to gather work statuses
  • Provides performance feedback to associates and leadership
  • Provides technical leadership coaching and mentoring to team members
  • Engages manager to assist with team performance issues

  • Experience with technical procurement, research, purchasing, creation of purchase orders, purchase requisitions, capital requisitions, processing invoices
  • Ability to take ownership of work
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education; normally requires at least four years of related experience.

  • This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
