Assists IT Procurement and Asset Manager in the following duties and responsibilities: oversight and operations of IT software and technology-related hardware purchases, IT asset inventory management and software licensing compliance. Supports, manages, and administers contracts for software and application services and products across the organization. Maintains policies and systems and provides analysis regarding software licenses, warranties, service agreements, hardware and other IT assets.

The Role:
Procurement
- Support, manage, and administer contracts for purchase of IT software, application services and products across the organization
- Investigates equipment or software under consideration to determine ROI and total cost of ownership throughout product lifecycle.
- Negotiates pricing, terms and conditions of purchase, and warranties of goods and products with key suppliers and vendors
- Prepares and maintains orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining appropriate approval from requisitioning department/entity
- Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to LCS standards; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives as needed
- Researches and provides recommendations for new vendor and peripheral alternatives
- Leads resolution of receipt and invoice discrepancies, product returns or exchanges
- Monitors and analyzes trends in company spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings and/or asset optimization.
- Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders
Asset Management
- Maintains systems containing information regarding licenses, warranties, service agreements and contracts for the organization's hardware, software and other assets This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software licenses and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts\
- Investigates and resolves any exceptions and/or accuracy issues
- Coordinates with corporate accounting staff and follows standard tracking methods, reconciliation and coding for various asset types
- Effectively communicates asset management strategies to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Explores opportunities for maximizing or exploiting unused or partially used IT assets to achieve full efficiency and ROI from company resources.
- Assures timely, accurate additions, dispositions and periodic replacements of assets per LCS standards
General
- Provides backup to other department roles as needed
- Identifies process improvement opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies
- Maintains documentation of department standards, policies, and procedures.
Experience:
- 4 year college degree in the field of Business Administration or equivalent work experience in the field.
- 1-3 years IT asset management experience
- 1-3 years experience in vendor contract management/negotiations
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel via verbal and written communications.
- Strong customer service, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize work schedules, and complete tasks by desired due dates.
- Knowledge of hardware and software lifecycle management
- Working knowledge of asset management tools and software licensing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.)
