Your Impact:


The IT Hardware Asset Management Analyst will provide direct support to the AMCOM ALC in maintaining accountability for all IT equipment, materiel, and supplies in AMCOM. The Analyst will support the customer in always maintaining 100% property accountability for all AMCOM ALC IT equipment by conducting inventories, maintaining accountability utilizing ASTS and GCSS databases

as the systems of record, and performing subsequent cyclic inventories as required by regulation.


Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support for control and distribution of AMCOM ALC property by receiving and distributing IT equipment.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock
  • Move equipment to a new location and remove equipment as necessary and record the changed location in the asset tracking database
  • Prepare required documents and paperwork for newly purchased items, the transfer of items, the transport of property to another location, and turn-in/disposal of existing property
  • Provide updated status through email of IT-related equipment inventory to the Government for the IT Refresh process.
  • Communicate and meet with the Government as required to resolve issues and strategize equipment assignment.
  • Electronically prepare required documentation, print out and obtain hand receipt holder signatures; input to appropriate database; and maintain paper copies for records.
  • Apply barcodes or asset tags to equipment, store equipment in designated locations, and transport equipment to appropriate users
  • Serve as the focal point for all property inventories conducted by the AMCOM G4 and the Garrison Property Office; and shall coordinate property inventories with the CIO/G-6 and ALC Government Property Manager.
  • Provide identifying information through email on lost/stolen equipment including: the serial number, date of purchase, cost, and other required information to the Government Property Manager in order to facilitate a Financial Liability Investigation Property Loss (FLIPL) report
  • Reconcile the GCSS and ASTS databases for all hand receipts every six months and at other times as required, review the databases, and notify the HRH to verify the correct items are listed on each Hand Receipt.
  • Verify accuracy of delivery: ensure items received are what was ordered, examine and inspect items for defects/damage, and complete reports for any defective or damaged goods
  • Take appropriate actions to ensure all property is sub-hand receipted on DA Form 2062 for each HRH account and maintain this information in the appropriate property management database.
  • Maintain and monitor the ASTS and GCSS database for all assigned Hand Receipt Holders (HRH); track barcodes and locations of assets; and maintain complete accountability of all the property.
  • Submit required documentation to the Garrison Property Book Office and the AMCOM G4 regarding the establishment/transfer/deletion of HRH, establishment of new property, property transfer from one HRH to another, turn-in of excess property, and updates/corrections to all property records.
  • Receive, issue, and distribute IT-related equipment, verify accuracy of delivery, and document and input information in the ASTS or GCSS databases.
  • Organize the systematic storage of equipment and maintain the inventory of supplies

The Analyst must have superior organizational, analytical, written, and oral communication skills; possess the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment; interact at all levels in the chain of command; work independently with minimal supervision; work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment; and work well under pressure and around tight deadlines.


The Analyst must also have working knowledge and experience with the MS Office applications suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). For example, the Analyst must be able to create and use pivot tables in Excel; create and run data queries and reports in Access; create, edit, and format Word documents; and develop or modify PowerPoint presentations including text, graphics, and data tables.


The selected candidate will submit required documentation to the Garrison Property Book Office and the AMCOM G4 for: the establishment, transfer, or deletion of HRH; establishment of new property; transfer of property from one HRH to another; turn-in of excess property; and make updates/corrections to all property records as required. In addition, the Analyst will provide coordination and follow-up actions to ensure transactions submitted to the Garrison Property Book Office and the AMCOM G4 are accurately recorded and to report unresolved problems to the AMCOM ALC HRH or other designated property point of contact.

This postion requires a High School and four years of relevant experience.

This position requires a Secret clearance.

Knowledge and experience in these areas is required:

  • Army Material Command (AMC) organization, missions, and processes
  • Army Property Accountability and Management regulations, processes, and policies (e.g., AR 710-1, Centralized Inventory Management of the Army Supply System; AR 710-2, Supply Policy Below the National Level; AR 710-3, Inventory Management Asset And Transaction Reporting System; AR 735-5, Property Accountability Policies; and DA PAM 735-5, Property Accountability: Financial Liability Officer's Guide.)
  • Property Book Unit Supply - Enhanced (PBUSE) and IT Asset Management automated tools (ITAM)

Essential Functions


Work Environment:

Inside office environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).


Physical Requirements:

Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (80%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (80%). Requires movement of IT equipment to and from storage facilities. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required. Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs.


Equipment and Machines:

Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.


Attendance:

Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice.


Other Essential Functions:

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain and retain a security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.

The selected candidate must be able to obtain and retain a Secret level Security Clearance.
