Job Description

About the job

TableRock is seeking an Asset Manager to oversee operations of a subset of TableRock’s total portfolio. We offer the autonomy and responsibility to make tactical decisions in collaboration with our third-party managers to drive performance across the portfolio, supported internally by a dynamic team of real estate professionals. Our remote working model allows employees to work where and when they are at their best. While a remote job, our small team prides itself on building and maintaining a strong company culture with a friendly and fun working dynamic, and we enjoy connecting as a team, both through in-person events and remote team activities.

Asset management is critical to the success of our investments – doing everything possible to ensure investments meet or exceed return expectations. As Asset Manager, you will be assigned a portfolio of multifamily assets around the country to oversee. You will become intimately familiar with the details for any given property and will be the face of our firm representing TableRock to service providers, government agencies, and those inquiring about the property.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Actively manage a portfolio of multifamily real estate assets in collaboration with on-site property managers including regular financial performance reviews, budget discussions, and capital projects coordination.

• Monitor multiple assets profit and loss performance, driving tactical and strategic level decision making to optimize TableRock’s performance and generate investor return.

• Evaluate monthly financial statements against established operations performance projections.

• Lead both quarterly performance reviews alongside Deal Leads for each property and subsequent investor facing performance report creation.

• Identify and create action plans for underperforming investments and lead implementation.

• Manage existing and evaluate potential vendors to support property maintenance requirements and performance objectives.

• Build strong partner relationships with on-site management teams, external vendors, and TableRock’s lender representatives.

• Evaluate, manage, and approve on-site team budgets against Tablerock’s performance targets.

• Collaborate with Acquisition, Analyst and CapEx team members to maximize the long-term operating success for real estate investments.

• Organize and maintain property records.

• Travel to properties for due diligence, on-site inspections and other events as required by each asset (15-20% of time)

The successful candidate will report to the COO and have the following characteristics:

• Bachelor’s degree with preference for 3+ years of experience in client relationship management, real estate operations or finance

• A passion for real estate, driving results, and seeing tangible projects through to completion.

• A strong sense of ownership and accountability to both the team and to assigned assets.

• Demonstrated proficiency interpreting financial statements, identifying operational implications, and translating to actionable value levers.

• Established track record for independent decision making, analytic capability, and history of increasing responsibility.

• Working knowledge of real estate operations and key performance indicators.

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to articulate initiatives and ideas in a compelling business case.

• Strong client management skills with differentiated collaborative problem-solving ability.

• Organized with strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.

• Proficient in excel and other office tools.
