Associate Asset Manager - Aegon Am

Position Overview: The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for monitoring property performance and improving revenue for clients by providing detailed property management, leasing, financial analysis, and valuation experience to an assigned portfolio of assets.
Responsibilities:

• Perform property inspections to ensure viability, prudent operational performance, fiscal management, and document recommendations into the final review report.
• Assist in marketing and leasing strategies for assigned properties.
• Forecast income and expense projections, capital requirements, risk-return analysis and hold/sell recommendations.
• Assist in the underwriting and coordination of assets to evaluate a purchase and/ or sale.
• Monitor and evaluate financial performance of assigned assets and address all non-performance and legal issues related to the property.
• Produce consistent and accurate reporting to the team and investors to aid in the overall management of the portfolio.
• Review and interpret legal documents, such as loan agreements, guarantees, and promissory notes, and coordinate with appropriate parties to ensure compliance.
• Monitor the rehab/redevelopment process to ensure compliance with loan documents and agreements.
• Analyze rent rolls, vacancy and turnover information, affordability profiles and financial operating statements.
• Serve as a single point of contact with general partners and internal departments regarding assigned assets.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in commercial real estate or finance field, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in asset management, commercial real estate, property management, low-income housing tax credit or other relevant area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in market rate and affordable multi-family investments.
• CCIM, CPM or MBA.

Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of candidate’s relevant experience and other job-related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
