Job Description
The Sales Area Manager will be responsible to sell and support the sales of xvision systems. The ASM reports to the Director of Sales. The position involves extensive travel throughout the Northeast including Northern California, Oregon, Washington.
  • Create a territory sales and marketing plan. Working with the Director of Sales, develop a formal sales/marketing plan for the territory that determines the best methods to maximize xvision utilization along with the specific plan to achieve this result. The plan needs to identify key surgeon targets, promote certain targeted procedures, and describe challenges and responses unique to the territory. Quarterly territory marketing programs consisting of market awareness programs. conferences, special training sessions, panel sessions with expert users, and similar programs should be included in the plan. Quarterly market plan needs to be available by the first week of the quarter.
  • Maximize utilization of procedures & revenue. The primary objective for the ASM is to sell new xvision systems and increase utilization of installed systems as measured by growth in surgical procedures and disposable revenue. Working with the Director of Sales to develop overall sales targets and market strategies for the territory. Convert these territory sales targets into xvision system sales and procedure recurring revenue with xvision users. Implement sales process management techniques to ensure that sales performance targets are achieved on a timely and consistent basis.
  • Surgeon team assessment, selection, and training. Facilitate an effective and smooth “hand off” transition for new account surgeon customers from the sale of the system to the AM who now owns the account.
  • Competency and compliance with the administrative responsibilities. Within one (1) month, become familiar with all of the administrative responsibilities of the ASM job including (invoicing, order processing, follow-up, customer service, order materials, etc.) This requires attention to detail, strong knowledge of Excel and related Sales Force automation tools.
Requirements:
  • Experience aligning hospital stakeholders to adopt disruptive technology is preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in successful medical device sales with spine surgeons and hospital systems
