The Area Director of Sales has direct oversight of the Sales and Marketing operation of the hotel properties Alila Napa Valley, Alila Marea, and Alila Ventana, Big Sur. The ADOSM has responsibility of the Sales and Marketing Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising, marketing, developing and writing business plans, and ownership meetings. The DOS is responsible for the supervision of sales, and marketing directors, and managers. Additional responsibilities include, training, managing and coaching sales directors, and managers in their selling process in order to meet company goals and maximize hotel revenues. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor both the group and transient contractual agreement process, quoting rates, sending referrals, setting traces, and the management of retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts. The DOS reports directly to Alila Ventana's General Manager. responsible for the hotel. Communication and organizational skills are of the utmost importance.
This Individual must have a strong background in all aspects of marketing luxury lifestyle resorts with a successful history of building teams and driving sales success in both leisure, group, and event markets, as well as driving financial success to seven bespoke Food and Beverage concepts that are part of this elevated complex.

The annual salary range for this this position is $150,000.00 and $180,000.00. This is the pay range for this position at Alila Napa Valley reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including luxury leadership experience and education and training levels. This position would required to be on site at Alila Ventana, Big Sur.

Qualifications
- 6 years or more of progressive hotel Sales experience (typically with Hyatt)
- Demonstrated history of success
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
- Results driven, energetic, and focused
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
- Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
- With opening hotels, previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
